Our latest machine build is a long product packaging machine
and Kawasaki BX120 Robot
Dealing with long objects is awkward for manufacturers, especially when the objects are longer than 8 feet. Here we have built a machine that can erect a case, process long products and package the long product all in one machine. This particular machine can make and package a case of 10 downspouts per minute.
Other types are products can be packaged similarly with adaptable tooling. This LP-120 system is adaptable to many types of long objects that are difficult to handle and are currently being packaged by hand.

This compact machine is only 130 inches by 60 inches. We use our own PLC to manage the packaging, using EthernetIP, ProfiNET and other protocols to lower labor costs and increase your safety margin..
Think of this as 3 interdependent machines operating as a unit. The Jobsite CTMe23 is making 2×3 downspouts. The downspouts are picked off the Jobsite machine by the LP120 Packager and passed to an accumulator. In this video we have integrated with the amazing Jobsite CTMe23 Roll Former. Here is a link to the machine we are integrated with.
We have integrated the packaging machine with a Kawasaki Robot. Once there are 5 downspouts in the Accumulator (1 layer of a case) a Kawasaki RS020 Robot picks them out of the accumulator and places them in a box. Once there are 2 layers of downspouts in the box, the box is folded and ejected where it will be labeled and banded then placed on a pallet. Here is a link to my friends at Kawasaki Robotics:
We can build and customize a robotic packaging machine such as this one. Kawasaki R-Series robots are the best choice for the machine shown in the video. Kawasaki R-Series Robots are specially designed to do the types of tasks required of a robot doing Pick n Place and Packaging applications. Kawasaki robots can handle end of arm loads up to 130kg (270lbs).
